Sceam Awards 2010!

Getting ready for such an awards show should not be that hard.  But for me, it is.  It has been for the past  12 hours.  Deciding what to wear takes hard work!  So this morning I woke up early, and got to work.  Thank goodness for that unnecessary purchase at Hot Topic two years ago, I now have a faux vinyl dress to wear. There are a few finishing touches, and then it's off to the Greek.  Only one thing has me feeling apprehensive.  My eyebrows.  It seems that I have gotten rather carried away with the tweezers.  I don't look freakish, but this is the most I have ever plucked. Yes yes, little things like this bother me so much.  But Bright side and Silver-lining; it's going to be an amazing time at the 2010 Spike TV
Scream Awards!

One of the highlights I'm most excited about is the Reunion of the Back To The Future Cast. I'm really hoping that Crispin Glover makes an appearance. If he does, my sister will be ecstatic! I have met him once at the Egyptian (Thank you David), and I was in awe. And yes, tears will flow once Michael J. Fox hits the stage, I can imagine it now. Good-bye to my makeup!

Spike TV's website, http://www.spike.com/event/scream2010, shows events scheduled for LOST, Back To The Future, True Blood, and just posted Today MIA is scheduled to perform.  Holy Smokes!  I have seen MIA perform at Coachella 2009, and it was fantastic.  What an awesome event to be a part of!  Listed to appear; Kristen Stewart (Twilight Saga), Megan Fox (Transformers, Jennifer's Body), Alexander Skarsgård (True Blood), Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler), Chris Hemsworth (George Kirk, Thor), Marilyn Manson, cast members of Lost, and the stars of Back To The Future!  I'm hoping that my group lucks out and gets to sit close to the stars. Or at least close enough to get a good view of our favorite artists!

Pictures of our outfits coming soon!

Spike TV 2010 Scream Awards will air Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 9PM PST.

Jónsi (of Sigur Rós) Solo Album and Concert dates

Fans of Sigur Rós will enjoy the new solo album, Go, from Jón Þór Birgisson (a.k.a. Jónsi).
There are a couple of Acoustic in-store shows, and LA happens to be lucky with the first US stop at Origami Vinyl in Echo Park, http://origamiorigami.com/.  See you there Sunday, October 17, at 5:30 pm.

You can also stream the new album Go on  Jónsi's website http://jonsi.com/go, which is nothing less than beautiful.  Jónsi mixes English into his music, which is nice and it doesn't take you out of the ethereal feel of  it all.  This is his first album, and thankfully his first tour.
